Summary

In this chapter, we talked about the basics of the core parts of the Linux operating system and common features of cloud infrastructure as a service product. We covered a few basic Linux commands, what the Linux kernel is, and what system calls are. Next, we discussed devices and how everything in Linux is a file. Finally, we talked about common features of cloud IaaS and how to use these services together to design a URL shortening service during an interview.
