Embedding and Unembedding Graphics

While QuarkXPress does not support embedding of graphics in a layout file, InDesign will allow you to cram graphics right into the page-layout file so that they do not need to be externally stored. However, this is not the default behavior. By default, InDesign links to external files and only stores a proxy representation of the graphic in the page.
