Control Your Environment

  • Minimize lighting interference. Subdue the ambient light in your work space, and avoid glare on your monitor screen. Beware of incidental light reflected from brightly colored painted surfaces. Strive for consistency despite the changing light of day, and if you’re like most of us, half the night. The ideal solution is to block windows, have a neutral gray room, and install lights that meet the color temperature of sunlight. (More about lighting in a bit.)
