Once your job is accepted by the print service provider, it will be assigned a job number and some sort of identifying name. This information will become part of a printed job ticket, which will travel with the job materials. The job ticket will be affixed to a physical job jacket containing job materials such as your digital media, your printed hard copy of the job, and other pertinent pieces that are accumulated during the life of the job. In some environments, digital job tickets are also used, based on the Job Definition Format (JDF).
