Rating and Labeling Images

Ratings give you a way to separate keepers from rejects. Labels let you mark images for any reason. Ratings and labels become part of the image’s metadata that you can use to search and to filter which images are displayed.

You can get around in the Content panel using the usual keyboard shortcuts—arrow keys and the Home, End, Page Up, and Page Down keys. The fastest way to apply ratings and labels is with the keyboard. Many photographers and photo editors are used to looking at image after image and pressing a key to rate them. All of the ratings and labels shortcuts are listed on the Label menu in Bridge.
