INTERVIEW QUESTIONS

When you are going to be interviewed, be absolutely prepared for six questions:

1. Tell me about yourself. (Alternatively: Walk me through your résumé.)

Don’t just give a chronological history. Focus on your interests, experiences, abilities, and aspirations.

2. Why do you want to be a ___________?

The focus here is on your interest in this kind of work.

3. Why do you think you would be a good __________? (Alternatively: Why should we hire you for this job?)

Focus on your qualifications to do the work—good with statistics, good with people, knowledgeable about polymer chemistry.

4. Why do you want to work for ______________ Company?

The focus here is on this particular company and how you have been attracted to it. It helps ...
