Reactive Programming with Swift 4

Summary

This was a big chapter compared to the rest of the chapters in the book, so first of all, congratulations on completing the chapter. In this chapter, we covered concatenating and prefixing operators, then we worked with some merging and zipping operators, learned how to perform side effects, and, at the end, worked with a real-world application that utilized all the concepts that we have learned so far. Later on, we will extend the application started in this chapter to make use of schedulers in order to perform multitasking under the hood and revisit the code in order to work with the operators we have covered so far once again. In the next chapter, we will cover concepts dealing with UIElements in Rx.
