Remote access from Linux and OSX

Linux- and OSX-based systems have built-in SSH terminal utilities. Perform the following steps to get a command-line interface to the remote Pi:

  1. Open a terminal window and enter ssh pi@192.168.3.82 (make sure that you use your IP address in place of this one).
  2. You'll be asked whether you want to continue the connection; select Yes to get a command-line interface to the remote Pi.

There are many utilities that can be used for remote access to the Raspberry Pi. One utility that can be purchased and is suitable for access from Linux, Windows, and Mac devices is Remoter, which you can purchase and download from http://remoterlabs.com/.
