Part C. Up the Pace

Raising your game will involve upping the pace at different points. It will mean building on your preparation and training. It is taking forward all that you have learned so that you:

  • Stretch your muscles

  • Influence others and convert your critics

  • Understand how you respond to problems

  • Warm down thoroughly

Success when you up the pace requires a subtle combination of your own determination, an ability to influence and persuade those around you, an increased level of self-awareness about how you respond to different problems, and an ability to relax and unwind effectively, whatever the pressures.
