Changes in This Edition

A lot has changed in the Rails testing world over the past seven years, even if the general principles have stayed more or less the same. The entire community, including me, has had more years of experience with these tools, building bigger and better applications, learning what tools work, what tools scale, and what tools don’t.

Rails 5 Test Prescriptions has several updates from the Rails 4 version:

• All tools have been upgraded to their latest versions, including Ruby 2.5.0, Rails 5.2.0, Minitest 5.11.3, and RSpec 3.7.1. New features of these and any other tools are described throughout the book when appropriate.
