Your Other Reporting Options

Some versions of QuickBooks present you with a handful of additional report menu commands. These additional report menu commands are especially numerous in the Enterprise Solutions version of QuickBooks. I’m going to just ever so briefly touch upon some of these commands:

check.png Custom Reports: Displays commands you can use to create reports from scratch, following your specific instructions. These custom reports are pretty easy to use if you’ve noodled around much with the report customization options I mention earlier in the chapter.

check.png Company Snapshot: Displays a window with a bunch of little graphs and tables that summarize various snidbits of financial data: trends in income and expense, big account balances, open invoices, and so forth.

check.png QuickBooks Statement Writer: Starts the Intuit Statement Writer add-on program that will create financial statements using Microsoft Excel. Intuit Statement Writer comes with the Enterprise Solutions version of QuickBooks but is available in other versions of QuickBooks, too.
