Few methods pay enough attention to team quality-of-life issues.

It is very hard to generalize about methodologies. Yes, you can create interesting sound bites, but although interesting, these sound bites do not shape the behaviors or people on projects. Take, for example, the saying that the basic problem in software development is risk. All too many projects do little if any risk management or risk mitigation, so it does not seem that many projects are managed as if the basic problem is risk. Indeed, it seems as if many projects are completely unconscious of the possibility of failure.
