This list represents particular books that may be especially useful additional texts or references on the material presented in this book. There are, of course, many other excellent books on the various subjects listed. The list is by no means comprehensive, but it reflects particular books that I have found useful.
Quantum mechanics texts
There are many good texts on the physics of quantum mechanics. Not only can these provide alternative approaches to various topics covered in this book, but they also cover a broad range of other aspects and uses of quantum mechanics.
C. Cohen-Tannoudji, B. Diu, and F. Laloё, Quantum Mechanics (Vols. 1 and 2) (Wiley, New York, 1977).
This is a particularly comprehensive physics text.
