IPTV Multiservice QoE Management System

In recent years, multimedia applications and services, especially video, have witnessed a sudden growth. Today, the video display is not limited to the traditional areas of movies and television, but due to the evolution of video distribution for packet networks such as the Internet, and the emergence of numerous and various video display devices, we can access these applications in different environments and under different conditions. Specifically, the number of video applications provided to users through packet transmission networks is constantly growing, as are the quality expectations of the end users of these services. Suitable solutions to determine the quality of a video sequence based on multiservice probes are needed and this chapter is dealing with an IPTV multiservice QoE management system developed as part of the advanced system for IP television (IPTV) multiservice quality management (SAVAGE) project.
