About the Authors

Miguel Barreiros is a Senior Professional Services Consultant at Juniper Networks, specializing in MPLS and QOS at the network edge and in the network core. He is involved in projects that span all stages of building and expanding networks, from design and testing through implementation and ongoing maintenance. Before joining Juniper Networks in 2006, Miguel worked at Portugal Telecom (Service Provider), designing, implementing, and supporting Metro Ethernet and MPLS networks. He began his networking career in 2000, when as a hobby he was network administrator for a British multiplayer gaming website that hosted network servers for various video games. Miguel has a B.Sc. degree in Electronics and Computer Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico. He holds Juniper Networks Certificate Internet Expert (JNCIE) 193 and is a Juniper Networks Certified Instructor.

Peter Lundqvist is a Senior Consulting System Engineer in the Juniper Networks Strategic Alliance group, where he focuses on solutions for packet-based mobile networks. Previously, he was a member of the Juniper Networks Beta Engineering team, which is responsible for early field testing of new hardware products and software versions. Peter’s focus was on routing and control plane protocols. Before joining Juniper in 2000, Peter worked at Cisco Systems as a Consulting Engineer and at Ericsson.
