Microsoft's Windows user experience interaction guidelines, available at https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/desktop/design, offer developers a wealth of information for designing applications that fit right in to the Windows desktop. Among many guidelines offered for menu bar design is a description of the standard menu items and how they should be arranged.
We'll refer to this guideline when customizing our application for Windows.
