6 ANALYSING BEHAVIOURAL DATA
Now that you have a nice dataset, it’s time to learn how to analyse it. Almost all analyses go through the same steps: importing data, storing it in a more usable format, data processing (calculating means, standard deviations, maybe fitting some models), statistics, and making pretty graphs.
In this chapter, you will start by analysing the behavioural data from your own experiment. In the next chapter, you will turn to trace analyses. The example will be pupil data, but the principles are applicable to any kind of continuous data (EEG, grip force, movement velocity, etc.).
