Simplify

Mastering karate techniques is about getting the greatest possible return on any energy you expend. Skilful fighters make no unnecessary moves. They simplify their techniques so that they’re executed with the utmost efficiency. Their hands don’t wind up before they strike. They take the shortest path to the target. They understand the simple punch is the most powerful punch. So they avoid the use of complex techniques. In short: they keep it simple.
