Compete

There are two schools of thought when it comes to competitive karate. One school believes it brings progress by encouraging the development of skills. The other camp believes it breeds jealousy, greed or envy for another person’s position or titles.

Competition is a controversial topic in karate and in life. But no matter where you stand on the issue you can hardly avoid it. You will always find yourself competing for something, whether you’ve got your eye on a newly created position in your company or that last seat on the train.
