This chapter provides a quick reference of the classes in java.util. Several of these classes are very common and very important. The java.util package contains the Collection framework (with Set, List, and Map implementations), Vector (which is now part of the Collection framework), Date, GregorianCalendar, and Properties, just to name a few of the more important classes.
