We saw in Chapter 12 that voltage sweep generators are used where smaller deflections of the electron beam are required, such as in CROs with small screens mainly because of the requirement of supply voltages, as the deviation from linearity is negligible only when the supply voltage is significantly higher than the sweep amplitude.
