In this part . . .

After you publish your e-book, you need readers. You may not be aiming for the bestseller charts — many niche e-books earn extremely high profits with sales of only a few hundred copies. But whatever sort of book you write, you need to do some marketing.

Part V covers optimizing your book’s page on Amazon to encourage sales (see Chapter 15), engaging with readers using the popular social media sites Facebook and Twitter (see Chapter 16), and promoting your e-book using Goodreads, the social networking site for readers (see Chapter 17). In these chapters, I list specific tips to help you use these social sites effectively and avoid common pitfalls. In Chapter 18, you find out how to build an audience and promote your e-book effectively using a blog or an e-mail list.
