3D printer A category of rapid prototyping machines suitable for office environments that can be networked and used with little training. Rapid prototyping machines build physical three-dimensional parts for CAD files, layer by layer, using a variety of materials and processes.

ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) A common injection-moldable plastic found in many consumer products including appliances, toys, and electronics. It has good strength, processability, and cost.
