— Read Chapter 5 on health and safety
— With uncured chemicals, work only in well-ventilated areas such as a spray booth or fume hood
— Prevent skin contact with chemicals by wearing suitable clothing and rubber gloves
— Read MSDS information
Casting involves pouring a liquid polymer into a mold in order to make parts. A two-part material is mixed together just before pouring so that it can set inside the mold. Some parts are more easily cast than others. Thin-walled and complex parts are more demanding than thicker, flatter pieces.
