I USED TO START all of my PR workshops with this question: “How many of you want to be featured on the Oprah Winfrey Show someday?” Nearly every hand in the room went up, time after time. Because Oprah is no longer producing her TV talk show I’ve had to change my question a bit, but whether I swap out Oprah with Ellen, National Public Radio (NPR), Wired magazine, or The Huffington Post, the response is exactly the same: Just about everyone dreams of getting his or her name in the news.
