10.10. A FEW PARTING THOUGHTS

PPM is a dynamic and active process. As with many processes, it probably is not perfect. We haven't found the perfect PPM process yet. If we did, then they probably would not let us work in the place where it is used after all, it's perfect.

Since the process is probably not perfect, we will likely need to make modifications or changes to improve it. The difficult thing here is for us to restrain ourselves and only make changes or modifications if they are truly needed. Likewise the criteria, the weights, scoring, and other aspects of the process may not be perfect. But, again, we need to use restraint and only make truly necessary changes.

Lesson Learned

Processes are usually not perfect, but any PPM process is probably better than no process at all.
