Tracking Progress

During the first cycle, you have the chance to conduct a “reality check” on your estimates. Your reporting for an e-learning project the size of the one in the example should be weekly. Track effort at the page level and create online forms for your team to post twice daily. If set up properly, this task takes only a minute or so but provides you with invaluable feedback to improve your ability to estimate projects.

Figure 10-2 is an example of a posting form for tracking development of pages in the lessons for the sample e-learning project.
