Pick three popular Websites and two sites that offer e-learning content. If your company has a high-speed T-1 line, use it for each of the five sites. Jot down how long each activity takes. If you or a friend has a cable modem connection, try those same activities from a computer using a cable modem. Likewise, try these same activities from a digital subscriber line (DSL) hookup. Finally, try them from a standard 56-K dial-up connection. Log the respective times on worksheet 8-1.
