Figure 7.1 shows a model for approaching consulting. The PACT Model (“Make a PACT with your business customer”) ensures that

  • appropriate analysis of the problem occurs before the solution is created,

  • ownership of the performance improvement remains with the business customer through partnering, and

  • external and internal work is carefully balanced for effectiveness.
