Chapter 13. MIDP Sound API

This chapter introduces the Sound API of MIDP 2.0. In the first version of the MIDP Specification, sound support was minimal. With the release of the MIDP Specification version 2.0, this area has now been significantly enhanced. A well-defined, scalable architecture for sound and multimedia has been created for devices running J2ME, with primary emphasis on mobile phones using the Mobile Information Device Profile.
