CHAPTER 14. Integrating Cognitive Services

Developers can write plenty of chatbots with logic that presents options, accepts a user’s response, and implements logic to respond to a user’s request. This code doesn’t fall into the category of algorithms considered as Artificial Intelligence (AI). Most of the chatbots in previous chapters of this book don’t use any AI. The exception was Chapter 8, which used Natural Language Processing (NLP) with Language Understanding Intelligence Service (LUIS). NLP is a form of AI and Wine Bot used LUIS to translate human sentences into computer readable intents.
