In the first few paragraphs to open this book, you probably expect us to tell you that Phoenix is radically different—newer and better than anything that’s come before. We know that Phoenix is a bold name for a bold framework, but look. By now, you’ve likely seen enough web frameworks to know most of our ideas aren’t new.
