PerformancePoint Services (PPS) was once a stand-alone product but was eventually consolidated into SharePoint. It allows for the creation of BI scorecards (which are lists of KPIs, grouped by objective, showing the KPI values, and their status assessments), analytic grids, and analytic charts (grids and charts that allow drill-down operations, as well as drilling across dimensions, right from the browser) against a variety of data sources, with SSAS foremost among them.
