Summary

You’ve seen enough data binding models and samples in this chapter to make your head spin. We know that this information can be confusing, especially when distilled into such a compact space. But our goal here was to show you that no matter which direction you take, be it Windows Forms, ASP.NET, ASP.NET AJAX, ASP.NET Dynamic Data, WPF, or Silverlight, data binding is there, and it works in conceptually similar ways, whether you’re using ADO.NET, LINQ to SQL, the Entity Framework, or ADO.NET Data Services. Each binding model has borrowed from at least one other, and so by studying them together, you end up with the best qualifications for understanding them separately.
