Understanding the Terminology

If you are new to the world of robotics, you might not recognize some of the terms used throughout this book. This book assumes that you have some computer and programming experience, so I am not going to cover terms that apply to programming in general. The first time a term is mentioned in the book, a special reader aid box (such as the one below) will appear near the text that contains that term.
