C. Solution Architecture: Porting the CAB Libraries

  1. The CAB libraries need to be converted to use WPF as their presentation layer. This task is not conceptually difficult but takes some amount of time and knowledge of both WPF and CAB. I would call the changes evolutionary rather than revolutionary.

    This chapter discusses the port of the CAB libraries produced by Kent Boogaart, a freelance programmer living in South Australia. It is currently available under an open source license at http://www.codeplex.com/wpfcab. Corporate developers who don't want or aren't allowed to depend on open source projects can reasonably study it and perform the migration themselves.
