When you pick a platform as a service (PaaS) platform, it’s almost unavoidable that you are locked in with the platform in certain ways. Some PaaS platforms require specific programming languages, some demand certain application architectures, and others reinforce certain development methodologies.

Service Fabric is different. Although there is an emphasis on C# and Microservices in current tooling offerings, Service Fabric is capable of hosting workloads written in various programming languages under different system architectures.
