Chapter 12. Web applications

Hosting a web application is one of the primary use cases of Service Fabric. As you’ve seen in earlier chapters, Service Fabric embraces existing web stacks such as ASP.NET and Node.js to deliver web applications. What makes Service Fabric stand out from the many platform as a service (PaaS) platforms that support these web stacks? In this chapter, I’ll first review the PaaS ecosystem on Azure. My goal is to provide you enough details so you can make an informed decision as you choose from among hosting options.

Then, I’ll move to a couple of web applications to show you several design patterns and reference architectures you can consider when designing your own web applications hosted on Service Fabric.
