UCMA 2.0 provides the ability to create a middle-tier application that registers endpoints and publishes instances of presence categories on behalf of some users. Because an application written with UCMA can be registered with Office Communications Server as a trusted application, the application is not required to supply the user’s domain credentials to register an endpoint for the user.
