Unified Communications AJAX API
The UC Asynchronous JavaScript and XML (AJAX) API is an API to the Office Communicator Web Access server. Although it is not Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP)–based, it is a Web service API for building applications against the Office Communicator Web Access server, which in turn communicates with Office Communications Server 2007 and Office Communications Server 2007 R2. These APIs allow the application to provide users with IM, presence tracking, publication and subscription of custom presence information, and call deflection.
