How This Book Is Organized

The book is structured using a simple format. Chapter 1 is fairly high level and is aimed at decision makers, architects, and technical leads who need to assess the product for use in the enterprise. The chapter contains no code snippets. The language and tone is kept intentionally moderate to suit the target audience.

Chapters Chapter 2 through Chapter 5 examine the building blocks of Excel Services. These chapters target the enterprise developer, and the language is technical. Each component building block is described in complete detail, with a suitabl mix of theory and code. However, where appropriate, the emphasis is on code.
