Chapter 2. Outlook as a Platform

The platform is an essential cornerstone that contributes to the success of Microsoft Office Outlook 2007. Outlook won’t ever have every single feature that customers ask for. The platform allows independent software vendors (ISVs) to leverage this business opportunity by complementing Outlook functionality not available in the shipped Outlook product.
