Induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) technology has potential in cell replacement therapy for patients suffering with Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Type 1 diabetes and other cellular diseases. Somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT) technology laid the foundation for induced pluripotent stem cell technology.
