Conclusion

Congratulations on reaching the end of this book. It must seem like a lot of information, and I'll agree that it is. But keep in mind it takes me many pages to thoroughly describe and illustrate each concept, especially in the structured way in which I do so. Remember, I don't just tell you what time it is—I show you how to build a clock.

It took me years to figure this all out. Much of what I know was learned from my own observations, experience, and revelations. But I also learned a tremendous amount through books, articles, and seminars, and from mentors. I am very grateful to those who have shared their knowledge, and I feel compelled to share my own understandings of the market in my way of portraying it. You can shave many months, and for some of you a few to several years, off your own learning curve by carefully studying the information provided in these chapters.

It required an entire book for me to impart to you what I know about trend analysis. In fact, I could probably go on for at least 100 pages more if the publisher wanted a 400-plus-page book! I've been told before that brevity is not my strong suit. Perhaps I do elaborate excessively; but when it comes to learning about charting and trading, most of my followers really appreciate the level of detail provided.

I suggest reading this book several times. If it is any consolation, there are a few trading books on my shelves with broken spines due to excessive reading and reference. I wouldn't ...
