Leadership

There are lots of texts and self-help books written on this subject. I want to boil it down to the first and most important point. A good leader has to set the goals. I have in mind two presidents whom I respect: John F. Kennedy and Ronald Reagan. Both of these presidents set a goal. Kennedy’s was to land on the moon, and a lot of planning and resources went into this goal and its accomplishment. We are still benefitting from this endeavor: better and pocket-size computers due to mini chips, microsurgery with the use of small cameras, and many other items whose designs were a result of that space age push.
