Our first debt of gratitude is to the clients of Bain & Company, who allow us to participate on a daily basis with them on the front lines of some of the most dynamic and challenging business battlegrounds. It is to these smart and hardworking executives, some in seemingly impossible jobs, that we dedicate this book.
