SUMMARY

Whether you use Windows Embedded Compact 7 to build a medical device, an engineering instrument, an industrial automation control system, an automation, or handheld portable devices, these devices are intended for the targeted market and designed to deliver specific functions. When powered on, these devices are designed to launch one or more customized applications developed to serve the device’s purpose.

Automatically launching one or more applications during startup is a built-in feature provided by the Platform Builder for Compact 7 development environment to make your job easier. With help from resources provided as part of the AutoLaunch component, from the AutoLaunch4CE project on the Codeplex site, you have additional resources to help simplify the tasks needed to launch multiple applications, with configurable time delay for each individual application, to control the application startup sequence to ensure other application resources required by the application launch.

The AutoLaunch4CE component from the Codeplex site is provided with source code, which you can modify to add additional features to serve your purpose.
