Chapter 28. Cryptography

Anytime sensitive data is stored or transmitted across a network, it is at risk of being captured and used in an inappropriate or unauthorized way. Cryptography provides various mechanisms to protect against these isks. The .NET Framework includes support for several of the standard cryptographic algorithms, which can be combined to securely store data or transfer it between two parties.
