7.4. Summary

At this point, you should have a basic understanding of RSS, blogs, and Wikis, and are hopefully ready to get started working with them. With these enhancements to Windows SharePoint Services 3.0, hopefully the outcome is that you can build SharePoint sites that allow your team to collaborate in new ways. RSS gives you a new way, other than email, to alert interested readers about what has changed in SharePoint, and with Outlook 2007 and Internet Explorer 7, this format can easily be placed into your toolbox. Blogging gives you the avenue to publish small amounts of content and give others the opportunity to comment on it. Wikis allow teams to easily create content pages and build on them over time without prior knowledge of HTML.
