Appendix A. Acronyms
Below is a list of commonly used acronyms. These acronyms are not unique just to penetration testing or information security; I have included those associated with anything related to a penetration test project, including those acronyms found in project management. Not all acronyms are used in this book, but I have included them nonetheless so that you can have a single source to turn to when confronted with an unfamiliar acronym.
You will also find some acronyms with an obvious military or government reference. I have included these as well because government contracts are big business and these acronyms can be found in many documents related to penetration testing produced by the federal government or agencies.
